Kinjo sensei was born on May 21st in Okinawa, Japan. He grew up in Okinawa until 19 years old.
Kinjo sensei got his B.A. in TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language) from Kent State University, OH. While he was learning how to teach English, he found that it would be more fun to teach his own language and culture. After he graduated university, he gave up becoming an ESL teacher in the U.S. and came back to Okinawa. Then he worked in cram school and taught math and English to junior high school students. He also worked in media content company and learned business. Kinjo sensei got bogged down because of his boring life in Okinawa, so he flew to Australia and started his new life. He went to Japanese teacher training school in Sydney and finally became a certified Japanese teacher. |

Kinjo sensei started Japanese penmanship when he was in kindergarten and switched to calligraphy when he was in high school. He was selected as a top 6 high school calligrapher in Okinawa and he still practices for exhibitions in Okinawa and China.
Kinjo sensei started volleyball when he was 4th grade and played wing spiker in junior high and setter in high school. He also played libero position in university club team. Even today he picks up volleyball in community and still plays regardless of his location. Travel is Kinjo sensei's life. He has been to 18 countries and he still seeks new adventures!! Minor hobbies are karaoke, drawing, cooking, cleaning, gardening and internet surfing. |
