This project is part of science objective for 2nd quarter (Sound).

Objectives:
- Make an instrument of sound by transforming items that were not designed to make a sound into an instrument of sound, decorate it, and name it.
- Recycle, reuse things students have at home.
- Use the instrument of sound to explore rhythm, sound waves, and acoustics.
- Present orally the different parts of the instrument of sound, what material was used to make it and to decorate it.
- Produce different sounds with the instrument of sound, produce a rhythm.
Materials that can be used:
- Cardboard boxes, cardboard tubes…
- Metal cans…
- Plastic containers (milk jug, soda bottles, yogurt cups…)
- Rubber bands, string…
- Beans, rice, coffee beans, seeds, beads…
- Masking tape, duct tape…
- Glue, scissors…
- Aluminum foil, plastic wrap, piece of leather…
- NO GLASS CONTAINERS please!
